The Falcon Lair "Gray Books" were ledgers itemizing all monies paid out in Rudolph Valentino's household. These items included everything from groceries to salary to bootleggers who provided Valentino with liquor at the height of prohibition. The time frame of these pages included here in this and the following two pages spans the months prior to Valentino's death in August of 1926. They are a glimpse into the household and the financial circumstance during the star's last days in Los Angeles.
